Why I Do This — My Papa’s Legacy

I started Webb’s Handyman Service not just to make a living, but to carry on the legacy of the man who taught me what it truly means to lend a hand — my Papa.

Growing up, I watched my Papa drop everything to help others. Whether it was fixing a neighbor’s leaky faucet, patching up a roof, or wiring a new light so a family wouldn’t have to sit in the dark, he never hesitated if it was within his ability to help.

He always told me something that’s stayed with me all these years:

“Now son, don’t help someone expecting pay. If they can, they will.”

That simple line shaped how I see this work. It’s not just about swinging a hammer or tightening a pipe — it’s about being there for people when they need it most.

I know there are folks who can’t always afford to hire help — whose water pipes burst in the middle of winter, or whose electrical outlet shorts out and they have no idea where to turn. In those moments, I want to be like my Papa was: someone you can call, someone who will show up, and someone who’ll do what he can.

So if you ever find yourself in a spot with nowhere else to turn, please reach out. If it’s something within my means, I’ll help. Because this isn’t just a business. It’s my way of honoring a man who believed no one should be left without a helping hand simply because of hard times.

Thank you for visiting my page, and for letting me share a bit of my heart — and my Papa’s — with you.
